In 2025, PETRUSHA LAW is proud to celebrate

10 Years in Business

by giving back to the community that has supported us along the way.

As a heartfelt thank-you for a decade of trust and inspiration from our clients and associates, we’re excited to launch "10 Years, $10,000 Thanks" – a campaign to donate $10,000 to 10 local charities, each chosen by a member of our team.

From February through November, we’ll highlight each charity to receive $1,000, sharing its mission and the personal stories behind our team’s selections. In December, we’ll reflect on the campaign’s impact and honor these organizations at a special event. Check back here for monthly updates!

*MARCH DONATION*

Aren Warnow, Administrative Assistant with Petrusha Law, has nominated Meals on Wheels Redwood Coast, a program of Humboldt Senior Resource Center, to receive this month’s $1,000 donation as part of the firm’s “10 Years, $10,000 Thanks” campaign.

Aren shared, “Meals on Wheels is an important and valuable program for our community. It provides healthy meal delivery to older community members vulnerable to food insecurity. Many of these people look forward to their interaction with the delivery drivers – not just for the meal, but because for some, this may be the only visitor they will have all day.”

Meals on Wheels Redwood Coast provides nutritious meals to homebound older adults who are no longer physically or mentally able to shop or prepare meals for themselves. Meals can be delivered to those age 60 and older living in Arcata, Eureka, Fortuna, and McKinleyville. Spouses of eligible adults can also receive meals. Meals are delivered to clients’ homes by friendly drivers who also provide an informal safety check for each client. This program helps older adults maintain good nutrition while continuing to enjoy living at home.

The firm’s founding attorney Angela Petrusha stated: “Every March, Meals on Wheels programs across the country celebrate ‘March for Meals’ to spotlight the importance of senior nutrition and well-being. If you’d like to support this worthy cause, please send your donation referencing #10Y10K to: Meals On Wheels Redwood Coast, 1910 California Street, Eureka CA 95501 or you may donate online at www.humsenior.org.”

*FEBRUARY DONATION*

Coralia Vieira, Paralegal with PETRUSHA LAW, has nominated local non-profit We Are Up to receive this month’s $1,000 donation as part of the firm’s “10 Years, $10,000 Thanks” campaign.

Coralia shared, “The charity I’ve chosen to honor as our first recipient is We Are Up, which is near and dear to my heart as I have a nephew with autism. It is wonderful that there are members and volunteers in our community who provide a safe haven for our loved ones and treat them with empathy and kindness.”

We Are Up is developing integrated housing with 70 mixed-income rental homes for diverse residents, including people with intellectual disabilities, seniors, students, and healthcare professionals in McKinleyville. The 17-acre site will include agricultural and open spaces, an orchard, a commercial greenhouse, and a community center for gathering and enrichment opportunities. For more information, visit www.weareup.org.

Founding Attorney Angela Petrusha added, “If you’d like to join us in supporting this amazing organization, please send your donation referencing #10Y10K  to: We Are Up, 144 Weirup Lane, McKinleyville, CA 95519 or you can donate online HERE. Together we can make a difference!”
